Dhokla


THIS RECIPE YOU CAN VERY EASILY MAKE FLUFFY AND INDIAN RECIPE OF DHOKLA.

 














Ingredients:

ü     2 cups Rice.
ü     2 cup of Ural dal.
ü     ½ cup yogurt.
ü     3 cup of warm water.
ü     2 pieces ginger.
ü     5 green chilies
ü     1 tbsp baking powder.
ü     2tbsp lemon juice.
ü     3 tbsp oil.
ü     3tbsp coriander leaves and curry leaves.
ü     Salt to taste.  

Method:

Í  Roast the rice. The dale on medium heat for 6-8 minutes. Allow it to cool and  grind into a semi-coarse powder.
Í  The powder in a bowl and add to yoghurt (little a bit sour) and warm water in to the bowl.
Í  Mixture thoroughly so that no lumps and the batter of mixture consistency.
 
Í  Add salt and let it for 12-15 hours. Add to ginger and red chilies.
Í  Finely mix the ginger and green chilies with the batter. Then immediately pour the batter to the plate. Boil water in the steamer.
Í  Half pour of the batter.
 
Í  In a small bowl mixture with Baking powder, half tbsp oil and lemon juice half tbsp.
Í  Mixture the batter, Repeat for this remaining batter before putting in the steamer.
Í  Pour this on to the greased platter and keep in the steamer  5-7minutes. Remove the lid and proof it using toothpick or knife. If the knifes come out clean,
 
Í  If you want perfect shaped once and not the crumbling cut and handly.
I served them with coriander leaves, curry leaves and imli chutney.
